A Spooky Medal Haul for West Norfolk Youngsters<\/p>\n
The youngest swimmers from West Norfolk Swimming Club took to the pool for Dereham Otters\u2019 Halloween Mini Meet bringing home 44 medals and 56 personal best times.<\/p>\n
Oscar Tunnicliff started the meet strong for West Norfolk with a gold and PB in the first event of the day, the 10 years boys\u2019 100m Butterfly. He followed this with a further 3 medals, another gold for the 100m Breaststroke and a silver each for the 50m Frontcrawl and 50m Breaststroke, all in PB times.<\/p>\n
Charlie Bradford and Mika Verdoes both came home with an amazing haul of 7 medals each. Verdoes collection included 6 Golds across the 11 year boys\u2019 age group in the 50 and 100m Breastroke, 50 and 100m Frontcrawl, 100m Backstroke and 100m IM and a Silver in the 50m Butterfly, while Bradford clinched the gold medal in the 10 year boys\u2019 50m Frontcrawl with a PB. Bradford also secured 4 silver medals and 1 bronze across the day, along with another 4 PBs.<\/p>\n
9-year old Sonny Roberts swam to 4 medal winning finishes and 3 PBs, securing two Golds (100m IM and 50m Butterfly) a silver and a bronze. While Anwen Jones also came home with 4 medals (a silver and 3 bronze) from some strong swims, resulting in 7 PBs. Juan Verdoes took a clean sweep of Golds from his races winning the 13 years boys\u2019 50 and 100m Frontcrawl, 50m Breaststroke and 100m Backstroke.<\/p>\n
Dylan Clunan-Camp and Lacey Waterson both brought home 3 medals each with Clunan-Camp swimming to Gold in the 9 year boys\u2019 50m Breaststroke in a PB time. 8-year old Betsy Chadderton, Denis Diadko and Phillippa Reeves came home with 2 medals each, Diadko taking the Gold for the 9 year old boys\u2019 50m Backstroke.<\/p>\n
Other medal winning races were swam by Ellie Kitt who took Gold in the 9 year girls\u2019 100m Butterfly and Scarlett Smith who swam to Bronze in the 9 year girls\u2019 100m Breaststroke.<\/p>\n
Further Personal Best times were achieved by: Isis Ferreira Da Silva (5), Ella Smith (3), Ella-Grace Codling (2), Oliver Anderson (2) and Indi Goldsmith.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
