Two of our own West Norfolk SC swimmers, Freddie Laws (17) and Molly Lee (19) have been selected and will be attending a prestigious Pre-Olympic Trials Development Camp run by Swim England East Region being held at Loughborough between 20th – 22nd February. The breast stroke specialists will be staying in the new Elite Athletes hotel complex, and are among only 3 Norfolk swimmers who have been selected.
The camp will include pool sessions, various workshops, team activities and a learning experience with an international athlete.

Freddie’s most recent successes came at the Norfolk Men’s County Championships where he became County Champion in all 3 of the Breaststroke distances, 50m, 100m and 200m.
Meanwhile, team mate Molly had similar success, becoming women’s County Champion in the 50m and 200m events.

The development camp is a pre cursor for selected athletes ahead of the British Swimming Championships which both have qualified for and which
take place from the 14-19 April at the London Aquatics Centre.
This event will double up as the selection event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games as well as the European Senior and Junior Championship teams.
