West Norfolk Swimming Club’s Daniel Grimmer and Esmie Kidman put in a pair of stellar performances as the club enjoyed a triumphant weekend at the Tulip Meet hosted by South Lincs SC at the Castle Sports Complex in Spalding on the 30th April and 1st May.

Grimmer took home the award for Top Boy after winning five events across the weekend – the 200 Meter Freestyle, the 200 Meter Butterfly and all three Backstroke distances (50 Meter, 100 Meter and 200 Meter).

Kidman was the recipient of the Top Girl award with six victories; repeating Grimmer’s clean sweep of the Backstroke events alongside further wins in the 200 Meter Individual Medley; 200 Meter Butterfly and 200 Meter Freestyle.

The pair also teamed up with Sophie Doig and Nedas Tkacenko to take silver medals in the 200 Meter Mixed Medley Relay.

The rest of West Norfolk’s swimmers also had strong weekends in front of coaches Ryan Sykes and Matthew Addis, culminating in a second place finish in the standings for Top Visiting Club, just 30 points adrift of the City of Lincoln Pentaqua after two days and thirty four events of competition.
