A long course meet hosted by the City of Norwich unfolded at the Sportspark in Norwich during the first weekend of March.
Over 70 swimmers from West Norfolk Swimming Club participated throughout the weekend, collectively earning 100 medals, achieving numerous personal bests, and securing a variety of regional qualifying times.
The weekend kicked off with the female 100m breaststroke, where Martha More (10), Elizabeth Litvinenko (11), and Polly Anderson (13) each claimed gold in their respective age categories, while Mabelle Chadderton (11) added a bronze to the tally.
The first male/open event was the 200m freestyle, where Race Elmer (11) earned his first silver medal of the weekend, and Jamie Wilson (14+) also celebrated his first bronze.
Next up was the 200m butterfly, with Madison Hicks and Polly Anderson (both 13) bringing home silver and bronze, respectively. In the 14+ category, Zoe Wilson triumphed with gold, and Olivia Haddock followed closely with silver.
The male/open 100m backstroke featured brothers Jack Baxter (10) and Thomas Baxter (14+) both securing silver medals, while Junru Cai (13) celebrated his first medal of the weekend with a bronze.
In the 50m backstroke, Elizabeth Litvinenko (11) and Polly Anderson (13) each took home gold, with Ruby Baxter (13) earning silver.
The 50m breaststroke event saw Jack Baxter (10) and Oliver Veale (12) claim gold, while Joshua Norris (11) added a silver and Junru Cai (13) picked up his second bronze of the weekend.
The morning session concluded with the 400m Individual Medley, where Nellie Chadderton (12) took gold, and Martha More (10) along with Elizabeth Litvinenko (11) secured silver medals.
The afternoon session was filled with more medal-winning performances; in the 200m individual medley, Jack Baxter (10) earned his second silver of the weekend, while Joshua Norris (11) and Harry Clarke (13) both brought home bronze medals.
The 200m backstroke event showcased an impressive performance from the West Norfolk swimmers, with six medals earned. Nellie Chadderton (12) and Polly Anderson (13) each claimed gold, while Martha More (10) and Elizabeth Litvinenko (11) secured silver. Mabelle Chadderton (11) and Ruby Baxter (13) rounded out the podium with bronze medals.

The fast-paced 50m freestyle in the male/open category saw Joshua Norris (11) earn a silver medal, and Tom Garnett (14+) secured his first medal of the weekend. Race Elmer (11) and Junru Cai (12) both took bronze in this event.

The penultimate race of Saturday, the 200m breaststroke, featured Harry Clarke (13) and Oliver Veale (12) both claiming gold, while Jack Baxter (10) and Joshua Norris (11) earned silver.
The final event of the day was the female 400m individual medley, where Nellie Chadderton (12) took gold, bringing her total medal count to four. Madison Hicks (13) and Esmie Kidman (14+) secured silver, and Ruby Baxter (13) finished with a bronze.
