Last weekend we saw strong performances from WNSC swimmers at The City of Cambridge Grand Prix, held at Parkside Swimming Pool in Cambridge. The 3 day event started on Friday evening (18th October) and ran through to Sunday 20th October.
Our West Norfolk Swimmers secured 36 top three places; 18 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze medals along with plenty of PBs in this challenging high level meet.
WNSC also finished 6th of 20 in the top visiting club points table with 342.5 points behind; teamIpswich 5th, Northampton 4th, Norwich Swans 3rd, City of Peterborough 2nd and City of Coventry 1st
Congratulations to Valeria Soldatihhina who was awarded Top Girl (based on FINA points achieved over the weekend) in her age group after winning an impressive 11 gold medals.

Harry Clarke; bronze 200m individual medley.

Olivia Bradford; silver 50m & 100m freestyle.
15 years:
Josh Jones; bronze 400m individual medley and 200m breaststroke.
Jamie Wilson; bronze 200m butterfly.
16 years + :
Sam Rose; silver 50m butterfly and bronze 100m freestyle.
Finlay Ryan; gold 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke and bronze 100m breaststroke.
Millie Harris; silver 100m butterfly and 50m freestyle.
FINALS:
The event also gave swimmers the chance to medal again in a final; the top 8 seeded swimmers in the following age categories (14 and under) and (15+ years) for all 50m and 100m events had finals.
14 and under finals:

Rejus Mazeika; 8th 50m breaststroke.
Alexander Pattison; 6th 100m butterfly.
15+ finals:
Millie Harris; silver 50m & 100m butterfly and bronze 100m freestyle.
Sam Rose; silver 50m butterfly and 4th 50m & 100m freestyle
Finlay Ryan; silver 50m breaststroke and bronze 100m breaststroke.
